Summary

When planning the construction of an information and communications technology (ICT) network, foremost considerations include the applications the network will support, physical characteristics of the environment in which the network will operate, and the ability to upgrade the network when necessary. Historically, the sustainability of the ICT network has been low on the list of considerations—if it has made the list at all. But that has changed as factors including corporate Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives, and even some jurisdictional requirements, call for new projects to include sustainable products.

Whether you are a network owner planning your next install or upgrade, a contractor responding to RFPs and RFQs, an ICT system designer striving to meet your customers’ exact specifications, or an installer who must satisfy sustainability requirements on the jobsite—familiarity with the sustainability of ICT networks is no longer a “nice-to-have” quality, it is an essential business skill.

This webcast seminar, hosted by Cabling Installation & Maintenance and delivered by cabling and sustainability experts from CommScope, provides thorough information on what it means to build a sustainable ICT network. It considers the entire value chain from product sourcing to end-of-life and recycling considerations.Importantly for everyone involved in an ICT network deployment project, this seminar emphasizes that network owners do not need to compromise network performance or flexibility in order to achieve sustainability objectives—and provides practical measures for achieving all these objectives.
